Collapse of the American Empire: swift, silent, certain
Historians warning of a sudden 'thief at night,' an 'accelerating car crash'
Dismiss his warning at your peril. Everything you learned, everything you believe and everything driving our political leaders is based on a misleading, outdated theory of history. The American Empire is at the edge of a dangerous precipice, at risk of a sudden, rapid collapse.

The Washington Post on ‘Lunatic’ 9/11 ‘Conspiracy Theorists’
Yet while serving out a hit piece against the global "9/11 Truth" movement, it is in fact the editors of the Washington Post who are demonstrably "fact-averse".

Our Dirty Little Secret: Who's Really Poor in America?
The problem with how we have reacted so far to the Great Recession of 2007 is that most of the recovery programs are, as in the '50s and '60s, only for those Americans living in the outer ring: programs such as "cash for clunkers", first-time homebuyer credits, expanded Pell Grants, etc. In 2010, however, after decades of wide-spread wage stagnation, the entire middle class needs help as well, and the simple proof of this is that overall income inequality in America is now the greatest since 1928, when we first began to measure it.

Famed NYT reporter tells Michael Moore capitalism driving Earth’s downfall
The very concept of capitalism, Moore declares in the film, is the problem because it inevitably leads to a system where the richest few control the means of production as well as the levers of power -- leading to a "plutonomy," a term used in a leaked Citigroup memo from 2005, in which the finance juggernaut concluded that the United States is no longer a democracy.

Many Voices Calling for War with Iran
Iran is a military midget compared to Israel. It has no nuclear weapons and is apparently far away from obtaining them even if it makes a decision to do so and can master the necessary enrichment technology. Israel has a large secret nuclear arsenal together with missiles and submarines to deliver the weapons on target. Iran, far from a nation bent on a genocidal suicide mission, has never threatened to destroy or attack Israel while Israel has repeatedly threatened to use force against Iran. Many reported Iranian government "statements" to the contrary are deliberate mistranslations.

"I am in no doubt that this is a very inhumane and unacceptable blockade and siege, very counter-productive to a peace process," Martin told reporters on the sidelines of meeting with his EU counterparts in Cordoba, Spain. He said that while in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip last week he witnessed "too much malnutrition, abject poverty" and noticed very poor drinking water.
