 Van Houcke houdt rekening met een militair conflict tegen Iran omdat de regionale ambities van Iran een gevaar vormen voor de belangen van het westen en Israël, omdat het olie- en gasrijke Iran niet autonoom mag blijven, omdat de Amerikaanse economie op instorten staat en de het militair-industrieel complex behoefte heeft aan oorlog, omdat Amerika nood heeft aan een gezamenlijke vijand vanwege de interne coherentie, omdat de Obama-regering uitgesproken pro-Israëlisch is, omdat de Nethanyahu bezig is met het vormen van een regering in Israël en altijd zeer anti-Iran is geweest.Beluister ook het interview met Daan de Wit door BNR Nieuwsradio van 5 maart. Dat ging over de actuele ontwikkelingen rond Iran en het nucleaire programma. De Wit is auteur van De Volgende Oorlog - De Aanval op Iran: Een voorbeschouwing en maker van de website DeepJournal. Van Houcke is voormalig radiopresentator voor VPRO-radio, winnaar van de prijs Journalist van de Vrede, auteur van meerdere boeken, waaronder het nieuwe boek De Oneindige Oorlog en hij publiceert dagelijks op zijn weblog. De Wit heeft Van Houcke eerder geïnterviewd over de functie van de journalistiek en de rol van de media in de maatschappij.
