Hij is tot de conclusie gekomen dat de zogenoemde Oostenrijkse School de beste theoretische basis biedt voor een gezonde economie. Met die achtergrond kijkt hij naar de actuele economische ontwikkelingen.
 
In dit interview meer over de grote uitgaven in Amerika en Nederland. Spits legt uit waarom deze uitgaven onverstandig zijn en hoe het anders zou kunnen. Ook worden de mogelijke gevolgen besproken van de financiële instabiliteit voor de maatschappelijke stabiliteit.
